Laniakea Beach, also known as Turtle Beach, is one of O’ahu’s most beloved coastal spots. As an endangered species, these magnificent creatures are closely protected, making each sighting at Laniakea Beach an extraordinary experience.

At Turtle Beach, the gentle waves move gracefully, pushing the turtles across the water, while also stirring the ocean floor, making snorkeling a bit challenging. Despite the slightly murky conditions, we were rewarded with the awe-inspiring sight of turtles gliding effortlessly at the waterline, their peaceful movements a true testament to the serenity of the ocean. The river’s entrance is marked by the iconic Rainbow Bridge, built in 1921, a local favorite for bridge-jumping. On our return, we couldn’t resist joining in, leaping into the sparkling waters below. As we paddled, lush greenery and charming homes lined the riverbanks, creating a magical atmosphere. Further down the river, we discovered a rope swing, which Dustin and Buttercup eagerly tried out, adding a bit of thrill to our adventure.

Afterward, we headed to Tsue’s Farm for a delicious local lunch, featuring the famous North Shore shrimp. The girls also had a chance to feed the friendly tortoises on the farm, making it a perfect end to a memorable day.
